Chen Ting-shih (1913-2002) was born to a prestigious family in Changle, Fuzhou, was a key figure artist in modern Chinese art history. His career began with study at the Shanghai University Fine Arts College. He moved to Taiwan in 1945. He created many works in the form of engravings, sculptrues, color paintings, acrylic and calligraphy. His artwork can now be seen in the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts etc.
